Unique, fun and bespoke wedding and naming ceremonies created just for you

About Anna Bailey | The Happy Celebrant
I'm a celebrant with Humanists UK, and I conduct non-religious weddings and naming ceremonies. I’ve been a journalist for 20 years, and I really love gathering all of the small details that really give your story lots of colour. I love setting a scene and bringing stories to life - ideally with lots of humour - to keep things as fun and interesting as possible.
Reviews

"There are no words that can capture what Anna brought to the day. Our day, our wedding experience, wouldn’t have been the same without her. From the first meeting to the final ceremony, she was a joy to work with. We’ll treasure the love story she told for us forever.”
Debbie and Rami

"Our experience was wonderful. Anna really got to know us and our story. The ceremony was just brilliant and so beautiful. It was very clear that Anna had really listened to all the key moments that contributed to where we are today. There was a perfect balance of emotion and humour ."

"Anna was absolutely amazing and made our day incredibly special. She really took the time to get to know us and what makes our relationship work and then turned all of the fragments and snippets of information we shared with her into the most thoughtful, creative and personal ceremony.”
Ana and Lauren

"Anna was the perfect person to conduct a laidback but intimate naming ceremony for our daughter. She brought our story to life in such a wonderful way – there were lots of laughs and quite a few tears! Thank you Anna for helping us create such a lovely day for our girl xx"

Humanist weddings and vow renewals
Unlike a civil or religious service, a Humanist ceremony is totally unique to each couple and family – no two ceremonies are the same and there is no set script. I’ll work with you to write a totally bespoke celebration that reflects your personalities - and it can be held in any location or venue of your choice. As your celebrant, I would take the time to get to know you and understand your dreams and vision for your very special day.
Humanist naming ceremonies
Celebrate your child's arrival and recognise 'guide-parents' - with a naming ceremony. This is also a lovely way to celebrate a new name following adoption, the blending of families or gender reassignment.
